I’m a freelance magazine features journalist currently based in New York City. Previously, I was based in New Delhi, India and have reported from nearly a dozen countries. My work has appeared in Harper’s, The New York Times Magazine, The Point, The Atavist and Columbia Journalism Review, where I am a contributing writer.

I am grateful for support from the Overseas Press Club, the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Heinrich Boll Stiftung, Round Earth Media, and the Fund for Investigative Journalism. My article “The Great Divide” was featured in Best American Travel Writing 2019. In 2020, I was the co-recipient of NYU’s Reporting Award, and am a two-time Livingston Award finalist in international reporting (2021) and national reporting (2022). My Atavist article “Invisible Kid” was a National Magazine Award finalist in Profile Writing in 2022. My piece “The Hacker” was a finalist for the 2024 Newhouse Mirror Awards.
